Christmas Cheer

Well, we spent another wonderful weekend together!

We attended (and cooked breakfast for!) our Ward Christmas Party this last Saturday.  So much fun!  And Ryan and I participated in the cookie exchange.  I made Chocolate Peppermint Crinkles.  They were sooo good.  Here's the recipe!  They looked somewhat like this.  Except I sprinkled candy cane bits on top, too.  They're seriously delicious.

After the party, we went to the City.  First stop, the Temple.  Wonderful.  And it's all decorated!

We then took the Subway to Herald Square, where the famous Macy's on 34th is located.
We viewed the window displays, we rode the [wooden!] escalators to every floor, we pretended we could really use a $90 picture frame.  It's a beautiful store.  With thousands of people.  Over 140,000 people walk through the doors on an average day.

Wooden escalators!

Line for Santa!  He's the real one.

We walked down 5th Ave for quite a few blocks.  We were both really excited to see all the window displays NYC has to offer.  We were impressed.

Here's Lord & Taylor's window display.

 NY Public Library!

 Ghostbusters, anyone?

My favorite stop of the evening: The American Girl Store.  I have this one!

We made it to Rockefeller!  I spy the Christmas tree.

Seriously so many lights everywhere!  Pretty awesome.  We overheard some guy say, "What about going green?"  Grinch.

And ended the night at Dylan's Candy Bar.  GIANT gingerbread house and GIANT peppermint stick!  This candy store is so much fun.

We had such a wonderful time checking out the Christmas lights and window displays!  And of course, attending the temple together.

P.S.  I graduate from COLLEGE in 3 days.
