Two days before Kelsey and Johnny sealed the deal Ryan turned 29! Ryan had been working from home the whole week due to the hurricane, and unfortunately his office opened again on November 1, his birthday! So we didn't get to spend the whole day together, but we did have some fun. Cinnamon rolls, birthday banners, hibachi and sushi, and a night of Monopoly Deal.
Kelsey had asked me back in September if I would do her wedding flowers, and I was so excited! ..Until Hurricane Sandy. The whole week I was really nervous. Kelsey's wedding date was set for November 3, only 4 days after the storm. I'd ordered flowers from Chicago and wasn't sure if there was any way I could get them to New York before the wedding- when shipping flowers, they travel overnight by air. Which wouldn't have been a problem...if the airports weren't all closed! In fact, up until Thursday it was completely up in the air. And even Thursday I was scared they wouldn't ship! The picture below is the back of my car Friday morning. I was incredibly relieved the flowers arrived.
I got home and immediately turned our living room into a florist. The combination of the garden roses, ranunculus, dahlias smelled heavenly. The flowers were gorgeous.
And on November 3, Kelsey became Mrs. Johnny Da Silva. The ceremony was beautiful, and we were so happy that we were able to be there for it.
Congratulations to Kelsey and Johnny! Marriage!

So glad the flowers all worked out! You did a fantastic job!
