This post is brought to you by Halloween. But not the Halloween that falls on October 31 because that was ruined by a hurricane.
The Saturday before Halloween, we woke up at 7am to begin decorating the church building for our ward Halloween party. Of course I didn't get any photos of our gym masterpiece, but I did manage to get some fun shots from the night.
We put the missionaries in charge of the "Monster Surgery Room." We had a monster (or missionary) lie under a sheet and kids touched his guts, brains, fingers, etc. Saw one kid cry coming out. Pretty scary stuff.
Ryan and I were a bar of soap and a loofah! This is what 20 yards of netting looks like.
This is a loofah running through the Trunk-or-Treat. This picture really doesn't do the Trunk-or-Treat justice. It was awesome how many people were there!
Enjoying some homemade donuts that one of the trunks offered. SO good!
We LOVE the Wrights! Their little boys were dressed up too, and it was the cutest thing ever.
And for my second costume of the night: Ghostbuster. Just kidding, this was just during clean up. How many of you can say your church building has a Ghostbuster vacuum? I know, you're jealous.
And of course, Ryan took a video through the Haunted House. Once again, this video doesn't quite do it justice. I witnessed not one, not two, but three children come out sobbing from the horror. It was honestly pretty terrifying. All of the youth opted to stay in here the whole night, so it was filled with about twenty 12-17 year-olds just waiting to scare as many people as possible. I think by the time Ryan went through most had left. But enjoy nonetheless.
On October 31, we ended up having our friends, the Cowles come over to enjoy three bags of candy and play games. We were lucky enough to have power from the Hurricane, but it was still a strange Halloween.
