Labor Day

What a wonderful Monday!
Ryan had the day off, and when there were no natural disasters in NYC this weekend, we decided to go into the city!

First stop, Central Park.

Ok, wow.  Ryan had been there a few times, but this was my first time in Manhattan (aside from when we went to the Temple, but that didn't count).  The park is enormous and beautiful!  We stuck to the south side for a few hours and saw much entertainment.

"Powerhouse"

Tutu?

We nicknamed this gentleman "Birdman."

Giant bubbles!

The BEST.  This man looked just like a statue, and some lady was busy chatting on her cellphone and sat down right next to him.  He TOTALLY freaked her out, and she went running off.

Next, we met up with the one and only, Courtney Nay, who was accompanied by Preston Wallis!  Preston left to go home, but Courtney came with us on most of our adventures.
We then went to Wall St, Ground Zero, Battery Park, and saw the Statue of Liberty!

Alexander Hamilton's grave.

Reconstruction

New Jersey behind us!

Courtney!  And a baby Statue of Liberty!

Ry and I.

We met up again with Preston at Shake Shack for dinner.  Delicious.

We bid Court farewell and headed to our last stop of the evening- Times Square.
It was magnificent!  So glad we went at night because it was so bright against the black sky!  It was so much more than I'd expected.  Crazy.

And going back to Grand Central concluded our day in the city!

It still blows us away that we live so close to this place!  We're really looking forward to more adventures together.  This is such a fun place to start our marriage together!  We seriously love it here. :)
