Our new blog!

Well, we finally gave in.  We have been pretty nervous about starting our own blog.  There's just so much pressure.  But maybe blogging is easier than planning a wedding or moving across the country.  We'll see.

So we're here in White Plains, New York.  We're about 40 minutes from NYC and 10 minutes from Connecticut.  It's a beautiful area, and we have the best apartment right in the middle of White Plains, which is a pretty big city.

Top 10 things we like:
1.  It's really green.
2.  We live within 1/2 mile of Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, H&M, Nordstrom, etc. (obviously Kim likes this the most.)
3.  We also live right next to two parks!
4.  NYC is a train ride away.
5.  3 IKEAs within an hour.
6.  Our ward is really friendly (we already have callings!  Ha).
7.  New York style pizza.
8.  Manhattan Temple (our home temple) is GORGEOUS and so unique.
9.  Our apartment has great natural light.
10.  We live here together.  It's pretty fantastic.

Top 10 things we could probably live without:
1. Walmart.  It's absolutely terrible here.
2.  High gas prices.
3.  And we thought Utah drivers were bad...
4.  Attitude.
5.  DMV threatening to take away our California licenses forever. :(
6.  Earthquakes and Hurricanes in the same week.  Neither belong here.
7.  The motherly figure of our building who brings us random coupons,  informational brochures and maps about the area.  We considered telling her we have mobile apps for all of that, but didn't want to break her heart.
8.  GPS losing signal.
9.  Humidity!
10.  We're pretty far from everyone we love.


This is the start of our new life.  And honestly, we couldn't be happier.
