A month too late.

Uploading pictures today, we came across some from September 11th.

Being in New York for the 10th Anniversary of September 11th was pretty crazy.  We decided to stay in Westchester County instead of going down into the city to avoid all the traffic from the new memorial that opened that day.  But there was a beautiful memorial at Valhalla Kensico Dam in Valhalla- about 5 minutes away, so we went.  It was extremely touching to say the least.  Many people there had lost family members and names were read of those who died this day, ten years ago.  A beautiful memorial sculpture was erected there a few years ago, also, titled "The Rising."

Also in the park they have a piece of the World Trade Centers.

Being here really hit close to home because these people were affected so greatly. The program was a wonderful reminder of how blessed we are to live in this county and to also not take the ones we love for granted.  We're so grateful for all of our friends and family and we love and miss you!
